Description

This much-anticipated part of our school year offers pupils a rich variety of experiences designed to challenge, inspire, and unite. It’s more than just fun, it’s part of our curriculum and every pupil is expected to take part. This programme is carefully designed to help pupils build resilience, deepen friendships, and create memories. Activities will stretch both body and mind, encouraging teamwork, creativity and personal growth.

Monday 8th – Wednesday 10th June – Years 7 & 8 – Residential: Christian Youth Enterprises – https://www.cye.org.uk/

  • 3 day 2 night residential, with an array of fun activities, sleep over and memories to make
  • Non school uniform
  • Packed lunch (for Wednesday only).

Friday 26th JuneSenior School Sports Day at Wyvern School – A morning of sporting achievement, school spirit and teamwork!

  • PE Kit & trainers
  • Water bottle and extra snacks
  • Reading book or game to play while waiting for events
  • Unfortunately parents are unable to attend this event.

Monday 29th JuneYear 7 Transition Day – Current pupils will enjoy a slightly adjusted day to support the smooth welcome of our incoming Year 7 cohort.

  • Normal school uniform.

Wednesday 1st JulyChristian Schools Sports Day (Selected Pupils) – Our athletics team will represent the school at this exciting event of competitive sports and fellowship with other Christian schools at Horspath Athletics Stadium, Oxford.

  • PE kit
  • Sun cream
  • Water bottles
  • Extra snacks & packed lunch
  • A book to read or small games to play between events

Friday 3rd July – Year 10 TeamSport E-Karting – Year 10 will be heading to TeamSport for an exciting go-karting session, where you’ll have the chance to race against friends, test your speed, and see who can claim pole position. Whether you’re a first-time driver or a seasoned racer, it’s all about fun, friendly competition, and plenty of high-speed thrills.

Tuesday 7th & Wednesday 8th JulyYear 9: Andrew Simpson Sailing Centre in Portsmouth – 2-Day Sailing Course – This is a highly reputable watersports centre with excellent facilities and we are confident that our pupils will receive a fantastic introduction to sailing with them.

Key details:

  • Departure from school: 8:30am
  • Return to school: Approximately 4:30pm
  • Travel: By minibus

What’s included:

  • Wetsuit
  • Buoyancy aid
  • Spray top and trousers
  • Helmet

What pupils need to bring:

  • Swimwear
  • Towel
  • Sun cream
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Wet shoes or spare trainers
  • Lunch and snacks for both days
  • Drinks and a refillable water bottle

Monday 6th – Wednesday 8th July – Year 10: Work Experience Day – Onsite. Our Year 10 pupils will take part in a business-focused work experience programme designed to build real-world skills. Inspired by Dragons’ Den and The Apprentice, pupils will work in teams to create their own business idea, from initial concept through to a final pitch.

  • Formal office wear
  • Chromebooks
  • Tea & coffee along with office based snacks provided, pupils are welcome to bring in labelled snacks for their colleagues.

Thursday 9th JulyEnd of Term Fun Day – A joyful and celebratory close to the school year – a chance to be together, have fun, enjoy an ice cream and reflect on all we’ve shared and achieved.

This final term offer so much more than the end of term, they are a chance for pupils to grow in character, celebrate their friendships, and embrace new challenges. We kindly ask all parents to support their child’s full participation in every element of the programme.
