Key Dates and Activities
Tuesday 19th May – Year R – Longdown Activity Farm. A visit to Longdown Activity Farm gives Year R pupils a hands-on opportunity to explore farm life, meet animals up close, and develop early understanding of the natural world through engaging, practical experiences.

Tuesday 21st May – Years 3 & 4 – Sea City Museum. A visit to Sea City Museum offers Year 3 and 4 pupils an engaging opportunity to deepen their historical understanding, particularly of the Titanic story, while developing curiosity through interactive exhibits and real-life artefacts.

Tuesday 2nd June – Years 1 & 2- Staunton Country Park. A visit to Staunton Country Park gives Years 1 and 2 pupils a rich outdoor learning experience where they can explore nature, observe animals, and develop early scientific understanding through hands-on discovery in a real-world environment.

Thursday 4th June – Years 1 & 2 – Lepe Beach. A visit to Lepe Beach provides Years 1 and 2 pupils with a memorable coastal learning experience where they can explore the seaside environment, observe natural features, and begin to understand the importance of caring for our coastline.

Wednesday 10th – Friday 12th June – Years 5 & 6 – Residential: Christian Youth Enterprises – https://www.cye.org.uk/
- 3 day 2 night residential, with an array of fun activities, sleep over and memories to make

Friday 12th-13th June – Years 3 & 4 – Residential: Onsite and Go Ape – https://goape.co.uk/locations/southampton/
- In the day pupils will go to Go Ape to conquer the Tree Top Adventure and have a lot of fun at Itchen Valley Country Park.
- Then head back for an indoor sleepover for a 1 night residential.

Wednesday 17th June – Year R – Forest School Day. A Forest School day gives Year R pupils a nurturing outdoor experience where they can explore nature, develop confidence and independence, and build early learning skills through hands-on, child-led activities in a natural woodland setting.

Thursday 25th June – Year R & KS1 Sports Day on the school site – 13:30 – 15:00 – An afternoon of sporting achievement, school spirit and teamwork!

- Parents & Grandparents are welcome to come and support
- Parking is available in the Catholic Church car park. Please be considerate of our neighbours and where possible, avoid parking on nearby roads or blocking driveways.
- Bring your own refreshments & chairs/picnic blanket.
Friday 26th June – KS2 Sports Day at Wyvern School – 13:00 – 15:00 – An afternoon of sporting achievement, school spirit and teamwork!

- Access to Wyvern School Field via path from Dell Close.

Monday 29th June – Transition Day – Normal school uniform. All years will take the step into the year above in Primary School and Year 6 will spend the day in Seniors.

Wednesday 1st July – Christian Schools Sports Day (Selected pupils from Years 5 – 11) – Our athletics team will represent the school at this exciting event of competitive sports and fellowship with other Christian schools at Horspath Athletics Stadium, Oxford.

- A book to read or small games to play between events
Thursday 2nd July – Year R – Salterns Beach and Penguin Cafe – A fun day out at the local beach to enjoy pebble play and nature exploration. Opportunities to develop social skills and enjoy outdoor learning

Friday 3rd July – Year 6 – Leavers Assembly. All parents, carers, and staff are warmly invited to join us for the Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly as we celebrate the achievements and memories of our wonderful Year 6 pupils!
- 9:00-10:00 in the School Hall
Friday 3rd July – Year 6 – Leavers Party. This gives pupils a joyful opportunity to celebrate their achievements together through fun games, food and special awards that recognise their effort and growth during their time in Primary School.
- Return to school at 5.30pm
- Pupils should come wearing party clothes
- Pizza tea and tuck shop provided
- Carriages return at 7.00pm
Monday 6th July – Year 1,2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 – Itchen Valley Country Park. A day to enjoy the parks beautiful surroundings and a great day of fun, challenge and team work.

Thursday 9th July – End-of-Term – A joyful and celebratory close to the school year – a chance to be together, celebrate achievements, have fun and enjoy a whole school picnic with ice cream.

This final term offer so much more than the end of term, they are a chance for pupils to grow in character, celebrate their friendships, and embrace new challenges. We kindly ask all parents to support their child’s full participation in every element of the programme.
