Description

Step Through the Wardrobe into Narnia!

Based on C.S. Lewis’s beloved classic, this smash-hit production will transport your child into the magical kingdom of Narnia, where an unforgettable world of wonder awaits.

What Your Child Will Experience

During this captivating two-hour performance, pupils will:

  • Experience world-class theatre – watching professional actors bring this timeless story to life with stunning stagecraft, costumes and special effects
  • See a beloved story come alive – joining Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter on their epic adventure through the wardrobe
  • Discover theatrical magic – observing how lighting, sound, set design and performance techniques create the enchanting world of Narnia
  • Explore powerful themes – witnessing stories of courage, sacrifice, friendship, and the triumph of good over evil unfold on stage
  • Meet unforgettable characters – from the noble Aslan to the treacherous White Witch, and the charming Mr Tumnus to the brave Beavers

  • Venue: The Mayflower Theatre, Southampton
  • Leave school: 1pm
  • Performance duration: Approximately 2 hours (including interval)
  • Arrive at school: 5:00pm
  • Travel: By coach
  • What to wear: Normal, smart school uniform
  • Cost:  a part of the Enrichment Fee

What to Bring

  • Water bottle (no food or drinks allowed in the theatre auditorium)
  • Coat suitable for the weather

Theatre Etiquette

As this is a professional theatre production, we’ll be preparing pupils beforehand about theatre etiquette, including:

  • Respectful audience behaviour
  • When applause is appropriate
  • The importance of staying engaged throughout the performance
