We are delighted to share the exciting plans for our Senior Activity Weeks, running from Friday 27th June through to the end of term on Tuesday 15th July.

I confirm I have parental responsibility for this child & consent to them attending the activity set out for the week.
My child is in good health and I consider him/her to be capable of taking part in the activities.
I confirm that I have reviewed the information available on the Parent Portal and that it is complete and up to date. This includes medical details, emergency contact information, and photographic permissions. If any of these details change before or during the activities, I will notify the school promptly to ensure the records are updated.
I acknowledge that child to take part in the days at Southampton Water Activity Centre & Woodmill Activity Centre in Southampton. I understand that during the visit, my child will participate in a range of outdoor activities, including water-based sessions (such as kayaking, canoeing or raft building for Years 7&8 and sailing for Year 9) as well as land-based team building activities. I acknowledge that while every precaution will be taken to ensure safety, these activities carry an element of risk. I consent to my child taking part and confirm that they are physically fit and able to participate.
Terms & conditions, safety instructions and disclaimer: SportyStars activities are physical, challenging activity, which obviously has inherent hazards, associated with it. Whilst SportyStars takes all necessary precautions to try and ensure safety of all participants, unfortunately trips, sprains and bruising may occur in consequence. Each Participant should familiarise themselves with the hazards and try and minimise these as much as possible by complying with our risk management guidelines, safety briefs, instructions and guidelines. The management/SportyStars accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or injury resulting from any person’s involvement in any of our activities named above. Furthermore, it is understood and agreed that individuals participate at their own risk. I confirm that the above named child is under 18. I wish the above child to participate in the activity organised by the Company/SportyStars. I understand that the activity requires a moderate level of fitness and is physically testing. I accept that there is a risk of injury when undertaking such activities. I confirm that I do not know of any medical condition that my child suffers from which might have the effect of making it more likely that my child be involved in an incident, which could result in injury to themselves or others. I acknowledge the person responsible for my child(ren) will ensure the activity is carried out in accordance with the specific safety instructions provided by the instructor before the activity commences and acknowledge that the service will be undertaken with direct supervision. I acknowledge and confirm that I have read and understood the company’s terms and conditions, safety instructions and disclaimer and I accept the terms contained therein.
I acknowledge that my child will participate in the planned swimming activity as part of the school’s Activity Week programme. I understand that the session will take place at a recognised leisure facility and that pupils will be supervised at all times by qualified lifeguards, in addition to school staff. I acknowledge that all reasonable measures will be taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of my child during the activity. I confirm that the information provided is accurate and that I will inform the school of any changes to my child’s health or swimming ability prior to the activity.

Description

This much-anticipated part of our school year offers pupils a rich variety of experiences designed to challenge, inspire, and unite. It’s more than just fun – it’s part of our curriculum, and every pupil is expected to take part. This programme is carefully designed to help pupils build resilience, deepen friendships, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Activities will stretch both body and mind, encouraging teamwork, creativity and personal growth.

Please note that there are NO SCHOOL LUNCHES from Monday 7th July to the end of term.

Key Dates and Activities

📅 Friday 27th JuneSenior School Sports Day at Wyvern School – PE Kits
A day of sporting achievement, school spirit and teamwork! Pupils should come in full PE kit and be prepared for an active and energetic morning.

📅 Monday 30th JuneYear 7 Transition Day – School Uniform
Current pupils will enjoy a slightly adjusted day to support the smooth welcome of our incoming Year 7 cohort. Normal school uniform.

📅 Wednesday 2nd JulyChristian Schools Sports Day (Selected Pupils) – PE Kit & Packed Lunches 
Our athletics team will represent the school at this exciting event of competitive sports and fellowship with other Christian schools at Horspath Athletics Stadium, Oxford.

📅 Monday 7th & Tuesday 8th July – PE kits & Packed Lunch

Year 7 & 8: Woodmill Activity CentrePupils will enjoy two days of adventure and outdoor challenges – a brilliant chance to grow in confidence and team spirit.

  • Wet clothes e.g. rash top or T-shirt/shorts with swimming costume.
  • Water shoes or 2nd pair of trainers that can get wet
  • Parents to drop off at 9.15am and collect at 3.15pm from Woodmill Car Park.

Year 9: Southampton Water Activity Centre – 2-Day Sailing Course – This unique opportunity combines physical skill, mental focus, and a sense of achievement on the water.

  • Wet clothes e.g. rash top or T-shirt/shorts with swimming costume.
  • Water shoes or 2nd pair of trainers that can get wet
  • Parents to drop off at 9.15am and collect at 3.15pm at the entrance of SWAC on Floating Bridge Road.

Year 10: Work Experience Day – Onsite. A business-themed day involving planning, problem-solving and strategic thinking – preparing our Year 10s for the world beyond school.

  • Formal office wear
  • Chromebooks
  • Tea & coffee along with office based snacks provided, pupils are welcome to bring in labelled snacks for their colleagues.
  • Please update SchoolBase on any dietary requirements.

📅 Wednesday 9th July – PE kits & Packed Lunch

Years 7–9: Sporty Stars Fun Day (on site) A day of light-hearted games and challenges designed for fun, laughter and teamwork. Normal school drop off and pick up times apply. Activities for the secondary students would be:

  • Bubble Football
  • Glow sports: glow-in-the-dark face and body paint will be offered to add an extra element of fun to the Glow Sports session. Important: Please ensure SchoolBase is updated with any relevant medical conditions, allergies or skin sensitivities that we should be aware of regarding the use of face or body paint.
  • Archery Tag
  • Nerf Wars

Year 10: Work Experience Day – A business-themed day involving planning, problem-solving and strategic thinking – preparing our Year 10s for the world beyond school.

  • Formal office wear
  • Chromebooks
  • Tea & coffee along with office based snacks provided, pupils are welcome to bring in labelled snacks for their colleagues.
  • Please update SchoolBase on any dietary requirements.

📅 Thursday 10th JulyYears 7–10: Trip to Coral Reef Waterworld, Bracknell and lunch in Swinney Forest
A joyful day of water fun and shared experiences. Pupils to arrive at school by 8.30am. Collection will be at usual pick-up time from school.

  • Swimming costume – one piece costumes only

📅 Friday 11th JulyAll Years: In-School Activities. Normal school uniform or PE kit.
A gentler day at school to reflect, reset and relax – with normal school hours in place.

📅 Monday 14th JulyEnrichment Day & Workshops – non school uniform & packed lunch.
A thoughtful and inspiring day led by teams from KCC, St Mary’s Church and Bridge the Gap. Pupils will explore wellbeing and creativity through:

  • Bridge the Gap Workshop
  • Songwriting workshops
  • Interactive reflection activities and fun games

📅 Tuesday 15th JulyEnd of Term Fun Day – Normal uniform & packed lunch.
A joyful and celebratory close to the school year – a chance to be together, have fun, enjoy an ice cream and reflect on all we’ve shared and achieved.


These final weeks offer so much more than the end of term – they are a chance for pupils to grow in character, celebrate their friendships, and embrace new challenges. We kindly ask all parents to support their child’s full participation in every element of the programme.
