I confirm I have parental responsibility for this child & consent to them attending the activity set out for the week.
My child is in good health and I consider him/her to be capable of taking part in the activities.
I confirm that I have reviewed the information available on the Parent Portal and that it is complete and up to date. This includes medical details, emergency contact information, and photographic permissions. If any of these details change before or during the activities, I will notify the school promptly to ensure the records are updated.
I acknowledge that my child is to take part in all school-organised trips and activities during Activity Week. I understand that each activity will be fully risk-assessed and appropriately supervised by school staff and, where relevant, external instructors. I also give permission for my child to travel by minibus or coach as arranged by the school. I trust that the school will act in my child’s best interests at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
I acknowledge that my child is to attend the Year 3 & 4 residential trip to Foxlease, which will be for one night and two days. I understand that this trip includes a variety of outdoor activities led by qualified instructors, and that all necessary safety checks and risk assessments will be carried out. I acknowledge that my child is to take part in these activities and to travel by minibus or a staff car as arranged by the school. I am aware that children will be supervised at all times by school staff and trained centre staff.
I acknowledge that my child is to attend the Year 6 residential trip to Rock UK, Carroty Wood. I understand that this is a fully supervised three-day trip which will include a range of outdoor adventure activities such as climbing, archery, and team-building. I am aware that all activities will be led by qualified instructors and that risk assessments will be in place to ensure my child’s safety throughout the visit. I also acknowledge that my child is to travel by minibus as arranged by the school.
Terms & conditions, safety instructions and disclaimer: SportyStars activities are physical, challenging activity, which obviously has inherent hazards, associated with it. Whilst SportyStars takes all necessary precautions to try and ensure safety of all participants, unfortunately trips, sprains and bruising may occur in consequence. Each Participant should familiarise themselves with the hazards and try and minimise these as much as possible by complying with our risk management guidelines, safety briefs, instructions and guidelines. The management/SportyStars accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or injury resulting from any person’s involvement in any of our activities named above. Furthermore, it is understood and agreed that individuals participate at their own risk. I confirm that the above named child is under 18. I wish the above child to participate in the activity organised by the Company/SportyStars. I understand that the activity requires a moderate level of fitness and is physically testing. I accept that there is a risk of injury when undertaking such activities. I confirm that I do not know of any medical condition that my child suffers from which might have the effect of making it more likely that my child be involved in an incident, which could result in injury to themselves or others. I acknowledge the person responsible for my child(ren) will ensure the activity is carried out in accordance with the specific safety instructions provided by the instructor before the activity commences and acknowledge that the service will be undertaken with direct supervision. I acknowledge and confirm that I have read and understood the company’s terms and conditions, safety instructions and disclaimer and I accept the terms contained therein.
I give consent for my child to travel in a staff car for school trips when necessary. I understand that any vehicle used will have the appropriate checks in place, including a valid MOT, insurance, and a DVLA licence check for the driver.

Description

This much-anticipated part of our school year offers pupils a rich variety of experiences designed to challenge, inspire, and unite. It’s more than just fun, it’s part of our curriculum and every pupil is expected to take part. This programme is carefully designed to help pupils build resilience, deepen friendships, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Activities will stretch both body and mind, encouraging teamwork, creativity and personal growth.

Please note that there are NO SCHOOL LUNCHES from Monday 7th July to the end of term.

Below is a clear outline of what to expect:


Key Dates and Activities

📅 Thursday 26th JuneYear R & KS1 Sports Day on the school site – 13:30 – 15:00 – PE kit. An afternoon of sporting achievement, school spirit and teamwork! Pupils should come in full PE kit and be prepared for an active and energetic afternoon.

  • Parents & Grandparents are welcome to come and support
  • Parking in the normal school places
  • Bring your own refreshments &  chairs/picnic blanket.

📅 Friday 27th JuneKS2 Sports Day at Wyvern School – 13:00 – 15:00 – PE kit
An afternoon of sporting achievement, school spirit and teamwork! Pupils should come in full PE kit and be prepared for an active and energetic afternoon.

  • Parents & Grandparents are welcome to come and support
  • Parking in the normal school places
  • Access to Wyvern School Field via path from Dell Close.
  • Bring your own refreshments &  chairs/picnic blanket.

📅 Monday 30th JuneTransition Day – Normal school uniform.
All years will take the step into the year above in Primary School and Year 6 will spend the day in Seniors (Year 6 to arrive at 08:40)

📅 Wednesday 2nd JulyChristian Schools Sports Day (Selected Pupils from Years 5 – 11) – PE kit & packed lunch
Our athletics team will represent the school at this exciting event of competitive sports and fellowship with other Christian schools at Horspath Athletics Stadium, Oxford.

📅 Thursday 3rd (& 4th) July – Foxlease Park – https://www.foxiesfuture.co.uk/

  • Year 3 & 4 – 2 day residential, with an array of fun activities, sleep over and memories to make – non school uniform see kit list and packed lunch for Thursday only.
  • Year 5 – 1 day of challenging activities to stretch their resilience and build friendship – PE kit, change of clothes for wet activities & packed lunch. Pupils MUST be onsite by 8.30am. Pick up at 4pm 

📅 Thursday 3rd July – Year 6 – Leavers Party.

  • Return to school at 6pm
  • Pupils should come wearing party clothes
  • Pizza tea and tuck shop provided
  • Carriages return at 7.30pm

📅 Monday 7th July – PE kit & packed lunch.

  • Year 1,2, 5 & 6 –  Hamble Country Park
    A day to enjoy the parks beautiful surroundings and a great day of fun, challenge and team work.
  • Year 3 & 4 https://www.manorfarm.info/
    A day out at Manor Farm will be an excellent opportunity for fun and education on how the farm once worked in the Victorian Era.
  • Year R – Forest School
    With the whole school away, the Year R’s will be able to rule the school for just one day.

📅 Tuesday 8th July – PE kits

  • Years R-6: Sporty Stars Fun Day (on site) https://sportystars.co.uk/
    A day of light-hearted games and challenges designed for fun, laughter and teamwork. Normal school drop off and pick up times apply. Activities for the secondary students would be:
    – Bubble Football
    – Glow sports: glow-in-the-dark face and body paint will be offered to add an extra element of fun to the Glow Sports session. Important: Please ensure SchoolBase is updated with any relevant medical conditions, allergies or skin sensitivities that we should be aware of regarding the use of face or body paint.
    – Golf
    – Bouncy Castle

📅 Wednesday 9th July – PE kit & Packed Lunch

  • Year R – Enjoying their final swimming session of the year, building water confidence and celebrating their progress.
  • Years 1 & 2 – A visit to the New Forest Wildlife Park newforestwildlifepark.co.uk Exploring native and endangered wildlife such as otters, owls, lynx, and wild boar. With opportunities to observe animal behaviours up close in a natural setting.
  • Year 6 – A 3-day residential trip to Rock UK – Carroty Wood rockuk.org/centres/carroty-wood Engaging in outdoor adventure activities such as climbing, high ropes, abseiling, and team-building challenges. A fantastic opportunity for personal growth, resilience, and strengthening friendships before moving on to secondary school.

📅Thursday 10th July – PE Kit & Packed lunch.

  • Year R – Salterns Beach Visit – A fun day out at the local beach to enjoy sand play and nature exploration. Opportunities to develop social skills and enjoy outdoor learning
  • Year 5 – Marwell Activity Centre Day – Full day of outdoor adventure activities at a professional centre. Activities include Crazy golf, quad biking & archery. Focus on developing resilience, confidence, and cooperation. https://www.outdooractivities.co.uk/providers/marwell-activity-centre/

📅 Friday 11th July

  • A gentler day at school to reflect on the school year – with normal school hours in place.
  • Year 6 return from Rock UK at 4.30pm from school.

📅 Monday 14th JulyEnrichment Day – School Uniform and packed lunch.

  • Year 6 Leavers Assembly – Year 6 parents and grandparents welcome.
  • A thoughtful and inspiring day led by the KCC team. Pupils will explore wellbeing and creativity through interactive reflection activities and fun games

📅 Tuesday 15th JulyEnd-of-Term Fun Day – School Uniform and packed lunch
A joyful and celebratory close to the school year – a chance to be together, celebrate achievements, have fun and enjoy a whole school picnic with ice cream.


These final weeks offer so much more than the end of term, they are a chance for pupils to grow in character, celebrate their friendships, and embrace new challenges. We kindly ask all parents to support their child’s full participation in every element of the programme.
