Description

We are thrilled to share that our Year 5 and 6 pupils will have the wonderful opportunity to take part in a creative and inspiring visit to Southampton Art Gallery on Tuesday 13th May.

As part of our cross-curricular learning, the children will be exploring artwork inspired by Ancient Greek Myths, bringing their history lessons to life in a vivid and imaginative way. During the trip, pupils will also enjoy a hands-on clay workshop, where they’ll design and create their very own Greek-style pots. In addition, they’ll take part in an exciting sketching and mixed media workshop, helping to develop their artistic skills and creativity.

We will travel to and from Southampton by minibus, leaving shortly after morning registration and returning before the end of the normal school day.

What your child will need:

  • A packed lunch and a water bottle
  • Full school uniform
  • A light waterproof jacket in case of rain while walking to and from the minibuses

This promises to be a fantastic day of art, history, and hands-on creativity. We’re very much looking forward to sharing this memorable experience with the children!

Cost: This trip is included in the Enrichment Fee and has no additional cost.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Mrs Vale.
