My child is able to change in and out of their swimming wear unaided.
Following our swimming risk assessment, two staff members will be in the changing rooms to assist pupils who need support with changing, in line with EYFS procedures. Staff will not dress or change pupils, but will help with organisation and efficiency based on the pupils' age and ability. This applies to Year R pupils. However, as this is a Year R-2 swimming session, I acknowledge that two staff members will be present in the changing rooms.
On completion of this order, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you have read, understood and accepted all the information and expectations for the 12 weeks of swimming lessons.

Description

Exciting news! Year R-2 will be having swimming lessons in the Summer Term at Bishops Waltham Community Pool on Wednesdays, from 23rd April to 25th June 2025 (excluding half term).

The lessons will be taught by Mrs. Hatcher, a fully qualified swimming instructor with an STA Level 2 Award for Safety Award for Teachers. She will be supported by Mrs. Trevett, who holds a Level 1 Assistant Teachers in Swimming qualification, and Mrs. Freemantle.

Pupils will be grouped by ability and enjoy a 30-minute session for 9 weeks.

Kit List:

  • Swimming costume/swim shorts
  • Goggles
  • Towel

There is no additional cost as the swimming lessons are covered by the Enrichment fee.
