As part of our History Curriculum, Year 5 and 6 have the fantastic opportunity to travel to the Weald and Downland Living Museum in Chichester.

This is an Enrichment trip and already paid for in the Enrichment Fee.

Description

Mrs Vardy, Mrs Froud and Mrs Kinchin will take year 5 & 6 to the award-winning museum covers 40 acres in the South Downs National Park in West Sussex and includes over 50 historic buildings dating from 950AD to the 19th century, together with period gardens, traditional farm animals and a mill pond. Pupils will participate in an interactive workshop about the trades and crafts of those who lived in rural England during the Tudor period as well as spend time exploring the museum and grounds.

Date: Tuesday 12th November 2024.

Timing for the Day: Usual school timings apply.

Travel: school minibus.

Clothing and what to bring:

  • School uniform
  • Sturdy shoes i.e. trainers/boots/wellies
  • Wet weather clothing i.e. rain coat
  • Packed lunch (including a few snacks) 
  • Water bottle
  • Small rucksack (to carry all of their items)
