Description
Exciting GCSE Study Trip to London: The Globe Theatre and Tower of London
A Rich Educational Experience Bringing History to Life!
We’re delighted to announce a fantastic educational opportunity for our GCSE pupils! As part of their Elizabethan England unit this year, we’ve secured a special GCSE study tour and workshop at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Why This Trip is Special
In previous years, this experience has proved invaluable, bringing classroom learning to life and deepening students’ understanding of Elizabethan theatre and society. The hands-on workshop at the Globe will allow students to:
- Explore the theatre’s unique architecture
- Experience performance traditions first-hand
- Enrich their understanding of Elizabethan culture and society
The Excitement Doesn’t Stop There!
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Tower of London – always a firm favourite with students. This visit will enhance many aspects of our curriculum, particularly:
- The plots against Elizabeth I
- Political intrigue and drama of the period
- A tangible connection to the history they’re studying
Travel Arrangements
- Outbound and return: By train to and from London
- Between sites: We’re hoping to add an extra touch of adventure by travelling via Water Taxi along the Thames – a memorable way to see London’s historic riverside!
